Youth Programs

Sign up for our youth cooking classes at The Sweet! Shoppe (Fairlawn Plaza) starting July 7. Classes meet weekly on Tuesdays, 2pm-4pm. Limited to 10 students per class.

** To earn the graduation certificate, students must participate in the 5 Jar Challenge on the scheduled Junior Jammer Market Day.  The Challenge is to sell 5 jars of their uniquely created and branded jar of jam or jelly.


Registration Information:

Classes are open to ages 10 to 15 years old.

Registration cost is $45 per session for individually selected dates or $149 for enrollment in the the full 4 Session Academy plus the Junior Jammers Market Experience.

Adult Classes

Jam & Jelly Basics 101



Perfect for first-time canners


Students learn:

  • Equipment needed
  • Water bath canning basics
  • Food safety
  • Difference between jams, jellies, preserves, and butters
  • How pectin works


Hands-on project:

  • Make one 8-oz jar of strawberry jam

  • 2.5 hours

Flavor Development Classes

The Art of Flavor Pairing


This ties beautifully into your Junior Jammers curriculum.
